We’re thrilled to welcome the future of Bismarck Hockey to the ice, with the Intro to Hockey program set to begin the week of September 9th.

As a reminder, our gear handout will take place on Thursday, August 29th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Capital Ice Complex (Schaumberg Rink). It’s important that you and your player attend this event, as we cannot guarantee another time or date for gear distribution. Please ensure your player is present for proper sizing, including stick measurement. 

Please note that the skates provided may not come pre-sharpened. To ensure they’re ready for the first practice, you can have them sharpened at Duffy’s Hockey & Sports (216 W. Front Ave.). Mention that the skates are for Intro to Hockey, and they should be charged to Bismarck Hockey. If you’re unsure whether the skates are sharpened at pick-up, please ask.

Additionally, we recommend taping sticks before the first practice, though curving them is not required. The focus will be on getting comfortable with the stick, rather than advanced skills.

If you find that any piece of equipment does not fit correctly once you get home, we will send out additional information regarding a date and time to swap out these items. Please note that there will be only one scheduled day and time for this.
